Dalgona Coffee is such a rage and a trend right now, it is just amazing!
For the people who grew up in South-East Asia, know is fancy “Dalgona Coffee” as “Phenti Hui Coffee” (Whipped Coffee) or Cappuccino! What it really does for me is bring back some memories of burning the midnight lamp during exams, trying to make this coffee and stay awake!
The whipping of the Sugar and Instant Coffee, with Hot Water, makes the mixture this smooth, creamy, velvety blend that is just so satisfying and comforting at the same time. Well, I for one, am so glad this simple, basic Phenti hui Coffee has found a place for itself and is finally getting it’s due! Way to go…

Prep Time: 15 min (whisk), 2 min (electric blender)
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
Instant Coffee – 1 Tablespoon
Sugar – 1 Tablespoon
Boiling Water – 1 Tablespoon
Milk – 3/4th cup
Ice – to taste, for cold Dalgona Coffee only
Cinnamon/Nutmeg Powder – garnish
Method to make Cold Dalgona Coffee:
1. In a coffee cup or mug, add Instant Coffee, Sugar and Boiling Water.
2. With a spoon, keep whipping the mixture until it becomes light and frothy (it should cling to the spoon).
3. Use an Electric Hand Blender with a whisk attachment for faster results.
4. In a glass/mug/cup, add some ice, as desired.
5. Pour Milk or any other Milk substitute into the glass.
6. Fill 3/4th of the way.
7. Transfer the whipped Coffee onto the Milk.
8. Level and sprinkle garnishing of your choice.
9. Serve Cold.
10. Mix well to drink.
Method to make Hot Dalgona Coffee:
1. In a coffee cup or mug, add Instant Coffee, Sugar and Boiling Water.
