PS: Whole milk is preferable for this recipe.. Thicker the milk, more frothing you will get on top. :)

Hi hetal, anuja..

In order to add the frothing to the beverage as we get in starbucks or any other coffee places, you can use the milk frother. we can get one from IKEA store for $1 - $1.50 each.

And i make mocha at home, which is very similar to starbucks or any other coffee shops.

Ingredients:

Fresh instant coffee - 1 -2tblspoon(depending on how strong one wants it)
Hershey's or Nesquick or Cadbury's cocoa powder - 1 tblspoon
Cadbury's Drinking choclate powder - 1 tablespoon (you get it in Indian stores). can also be replaced by hersey's choclate syrup.
Sugar - 2 tablespoon (varies as per taste)
milk - 1 cup

Process:

1) In a coffee cup, mix instant coffee, cocoa powder, drinking chocolate powder, sugar, about 3-4 table spoon of milk..
2) mix all of the above till the powders mix well with the given small amount of milk. Use milk frother then to beat that coffee mix with choclate and cocoa powder for about a minute to 90 seconds..
3)At the same time, in another coffee mug, mix whole milk with water (so that when you heat it, cream (called malai) dosen't form )
4) Fill 3/4th mug with whole milk and 1/4th with water..
5) heat it in microwave for about 1 minute twice, stirring it after 1 minute.
6) once it is warmed up in the microwave, add it to the concentrated beaten coffee+cocoa mixture that you were stirring with milk frother.
7) you cafe mocha is ready for you.

Hi Surya,

We have not heard of coffee turning toxic but it does start to lose flavor as soon as it is brewed. You should be able to keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for a couple of days. The longer you keep it, it tends to pick up odors and flavors of other food stored in the fridge.
