I'm one of those who has stored onions and potatoes together forever, although they're in plastic bags. Can you tell me how far apart they need to be to be free of the risks of over-ripening (if they're in plastic bags)? Is keeping them in separate bins in the same cabinet ok?

Thanks!

Hi Meghna,
The Onions are put in the freezer for 15-20 minutes and that does not change the flavor. :)

Do you know by freezing, will the smell of Onions also reduce when cooking?
