I need to make “eggless cake rusks” for a vegan diet…are you able to share any recipes/tips. I did notice that this particular recipe doesn’t mention any egg, but the hamburger bread might have egg in it.
I sincerely appreciate your help and your response.
Thanks for another wonderful recipe or rather a snack item! I would love to give it a try. Just one question, where can I get the “non-hydrogenated buttery spread” and what is the name of the brand?
Usually, the container will say if it is “Non-hydrogenated” and is available at any (US) grocery store. There are a couple of brands out there…we have used Smart Balance.
Hello Anuja & Hetal…this is a great recipe, thanks! My parents-in-law love to eat rusk biscuits w/our cha time. I will be making these for them soon. Thanks for the cool idea! You guys rock.
Sincerely, your biggest fan,

Hi Charmaine,
We do not have an actual recipe for rusk, but many breads do not use eggs. Just read the ingredients before buying.
Hi Hetal,
Thanks for your reply. I shall look for the same brand at Safeway or any other grocery store.
