Hi Rita,

respected madams i just viewed your naan recipe in your website i want some information about kalonji (nigella)you are used on top of the naan please let me know the meaning of kalonji (black grains)in telugu are english language please explain thanking you
Hi Venu,
I think kalonji is called nalla jeelakarra in Telugu. They are also called Onion Seeds, though they really are not onion seeds.
Some Naan recipes use milk instead of yougurt. How does it make the naan different? And is egg a required ingredient?
Hi Ruby,
There are so many recipes out there for naan. This one worked for us perfectly. Yogurt adds some softness as well as flavor to the naan. Egg is often replaced with baking soda but it also provides great texture.
I just wanted to tell you that I’m becoming a big fan of your videos. Everything I try WORKS! Thanks for taking the time to do this.(My first naan is still rising, but I’m sure it’ll turn out perfectly – that’s how much confidence I have in your instructions).
I made this naan yesterday, and it turned out great! I didn’t have the pizza stone, so i just used my baking sheet and it turned out as good!
Thanks soo much for the recipe..i’ll be making some more naan today 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Kavita…glad you enjoyed the naan.
where to buy pizza stone?
