Hi Hetal and Anuja!
Good tip. please do watch Garlic pickle by vanchef at vahrehvah.com there is still a better idea to peel garlic with no effort. hope u will demonstate it too.
Nice tip ladies.will definitely try ๐ .I usually wrap the garlic pods in a towel n gently hit them with a laddle for few seconds n they get peeled off quickly.
Thats such a crazy attempt to peel garlic in large quantities. I generally put them in hot water and peel them after sometime (learnt form your website only).
I know we all are learning and the art of cooking and the tricks are an ever learning task. I appreciate your to try different things and sharing it with us.
That’s a crazy tip! I would be left panting in the kitchen attempting to do that lol!
Since I don’t care about keeping the garlic’s shape intact as I would eventually be chopping it, I just place the blade of my knife (a wide one like a chef’s knife) over the garlic pod, and give it one bang with my palm. Garlic is crushed and skin is off!
Try using 2 metal bowls, preferably the same size, lock the tops with hands, shake-shake-shake, until you hear the bell sound fade away into a dull sound. Done.
Frankly speaking I didn’t like this idea a lot infact this seems to be very tedious…sorry ladies.I totally agree with Parul and Deepa I personally do the same…this is risky too showing so much aggression and if the glass jar slips off our hand then boo…boo…boo
Remove the unpeeled garlic cloves from the pods.Drizzle a little cooking oil over them and keep them in the sun for about 3-4hrs. And there, your large quantity of garlic can now be peeled in minutes.
This method looks just as tedious as regular peeling. Unless I need whole garlic cloves, I just use a stainless steel dough scraper which I use to manually put pressure on each garlic pod. The skin slides off easily right away.
HEY DEAR,
I APPRECIATE YOUR TIP
BUT I HAVE AN EVEN EASIER AND FASTER WAY TO PEEL OFF THE SKIN FROM A GARLIC
TAKE THE BUNCH OF GARLIC APPLY A GENTLE PRESSURE WITH HANDS OR HIT IT ONCE OR TWICE
PUT IN GLASS BOWL COVER IT GIVE IT A SHAKE FOR ABT 10 SECONDS AND DONE
YOU CAN PICK THE CLOVES AND THROW THE SKIN
JUST PUT THE KNIFE ON THE CLOVES AND CRUSH IT BY HITTING ON THE KNIFE ,THE SKIN’S GONNA POP OUT

Hi Ancy,
Great work-out, eh? ๐
The blade trick works well when you have a few to peel and after that the blade gets sticky and the peel is sticky and your hands are sticky… ๐
Try using 2 metal bowls, preferably the same size, lock the tops with hands, shake-shake-shake, until you hear the bell sound fade away into a dull sound. Done.
Hi Rick,
Will give your tip a test too ๐
Thanks for sharing, we are always up to learning new things!

Just zap them in a microwave for few seconds & Voila……they r ready to be peeled. Super easy…..

Too much effort. Instead, put the garlic in a bowl of warm water for a few min. They peel off easily.
